Across Africa, significant progress has been made in increasing school enrolment. However, millions of children and young people continue to face barriers to accessing quality education. At the same time, rapidly changing labour markets require learners to develop practical skills, digital literacy, critical thinking and adaptability alongside traditional academic knowledge.
